This is a great series, where else are you going to find a 69 Mustang and a 69 Camaro going head to head as you will see in this race and only in Australia. The number 18 of John Bowe really attacks and rotates through the  corners, the set up on this 69 Mustang just hooks up! 
In the 69 Camaro is Andrew Miedecke and had this to say about the race.  "We've been racing each other for 30 years, starting in Ralts in the early 80's and it was hammer-and-tong then and the racing is just as clean and just as hard as it was then".

Touring Car Masters is Australia’s top series for Historic Touring Cars from the classic period of muscle car competition between 1964 and 1976. 

Showcasing a selection of immaculately prepared touring cars of the pre-1976 era, the Touring Car Masters boasts some of the sport's most iconic muscle cars from Falcon GT's, BOSS Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaros, Chrysler Chargers and Holden Monaros.

HQ Racing Australia

The Holden HQ series is a range of automobiles that was produced by General Motors-Holden’s in Australia from 1971 to 1974. The HQ was released on 15 July 1971, replacing the Holden HG series.  It was the first ground-up redesign of the Holden line since its original release in 1948, and included an all new body, chassis, and suspension.  The HQ was later developed into a series of successor models, finally ending production after the WB series was discontinued in 1984. 

It may be easy to drive a fast car quickly, but driving a nearly standard HQ Kingswood, complete with 3.3 Litre 6 cylinder and 3-speed manual, now that’s a challenge!  The concept of racing HQ Holdens was “invented” in Tasmania and introduced to mainland Australia by the Sporting Car Club of SA, who promoted the first mainland race at Mallala in 1989. 

This category has redefined the term “close racing”, with racers driving 3 abreast into corners with amazing regularity.  The best part for would-be racers is that, in relative terms at least, racing an HQ Holden is an inexpensive way to enter into competitive motorsport.  After the initial purchase of the car, strict regulations ensure that maintenance and modification costs are kept to a minimum. With everyone using the same cars, there’s no shortage of advice for newcomers from experienced racers on how to tune cars and improve lap times (although not too much!).
