2018 INDY 500 - Phenomenal!

The 2018 INDY 500 was just phenomenal!  All the teams were at an incredible pace.

"The Greatest Spectacle in Racing"

Number 1 Man - Will Power, earned his first Indianapolis 500 victory.  Hall of Fame team owner Roger Penske, after celebrating his record 17th career Indy 500 win, conceded that Power needed some time to get used to driving on ovals.

ED Carpenter

Number 2 Man - (with Team, Family and Friends)  Only one individual in the Verizon IndyCar Series handles both the responsibility of driving the racecar and owning his own team: Ed Carpenter.  As one of the most experienced drivers in the field, 2018 will be Carpenter’s 16th season of Indy car competition.  Even now as he competes in only the oval events, the 36-year-old has 14 top-ten finishes since starting his own team and has led at least one race in each of the last ten seasons.

2015 Indy Pole Position

2015 Indy Pole Position
The teams have been practicing hard at Indy where the fastest this year is #9 Scott Dixon @ 226.760 MPH man that's rollin!  What's it take to get that extra 240\100th of an MPH faster to hit 227, a breeze?  The slowest qualifying if you can call it that, is #19 James Davidson @ 223.747 MPH.  During morning warm up #20 Ed Carpenter gets loss in turn 2 resulting in an incredible impact into the wall.

Ed Carpenter into turn 2
Two hours later the team has Superman Ed back out on the track and clocked Carpenter @ 224.883 MPH 12th on the pole, incredible will have to watch Ed!  Also, Marco Andretti turning 225.189 MPH for 8th pole position, the Andrettis' are in contention once again, Marco is flying out there!

The Indycar channel on YouTube has literally hours of practice taped, also at the Indycar website, starting line up for the 99th running looks really sharp, nice work.  Enjoy the clip, the teams are flying at Indy!
