Saleen S7 LM and S7R

The S7R race version has won at every major racetrack in the world, including Daytona, Sebring, Nurburgring, and the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans.  The S7 LM Edition commemorates that seven-year run of consecutive racing victories of its Saleen S7 Supercar.

Steve Saleen previously announced the planned build of this extraordinary supercar.  The car unveiled at the recent LA Auto Show is the fulfillment of the first of the special edition S7 LMs.  “True to our form, we are bringing back America’s only true supercar.”

A 7.0L twin-turbo engine, rated at 1300 horsepower, will power the new S7 LM supercar. Each one is being hand built at Saleen’s Corona, CA, headquarters.  The S7 LM’s transmission is a longitudinal, 6-speed all synchromesh with limited-slip differential. It also has a metallic clutch with 8.0-inch twin-disc hydraulic actuation bow-through uprights.

The S7 LM has an all-new, exclusive Black/Silver paint scheme with clear-coated carbon fiber.  It will ride on Saleen forged, five-spoke, Le Mans-style wheel design equipped with center locking wheel nuts with automatic safety locks.  Fronts are sized at 19 X 9.5-inches with rears at 20 X 12.0-inches.  These sleek, stylish wheels will be shod with high-performance tires: 275/30/ZR19 front and 335/30/ZR20 rears.

The Saleen S7 LM is priced at $1,000,000,000 where only 7 will be produced.  The hottest Supercar on the planet!

Trans Am at the Brickyard and hats off to the editing engineer for Mono set of audio, you genius.  The commentators Jonathan Green and Jake Dallenbach are coming from the left speaker (they're entertaining) and tack sound resonates from the right!  You can cancel one or the other by adjusting the speaker balance.  Thank you, Trans Am Series, nice tweak for this broadcast, down on the track!

Ernie Francis, Jr # 98 starts this race in second to the last position.  The multi-class TA, TA3 and TA4 run a 102.06-mile race around the 2.43-mile combined road course saw machinery and drivers alike battle track temperatures in excess of 140 degrees and a slick surface.

The right speaker becomes active at time stamp 4:31, nothing but track sound.  For a broadcast, that's a first!

This race turns into a derby and whatever part of the track you need to pass!  This will be one of the best races of the year.  The soundtrack is Stereo so no Mono on the track sound but between Jonathan and Jake, the commentary is needed for this remarkable race.  This is door to door racing, the final laps are nose to tail banging!  This is a race car, takes a beating and still makes fast laps!

 

2018 Trans AM TA2 at Belle Isle

Live stream from the 3-Dimensional Services Motor City Dash featuring TA2 at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear.  The reason we don't see the broadcasted race after the event is: Select Trans Am races are streamed live on Motor Trend On Demand and will be posted online roughly 30 days after the original streaming date.  I did not know this, thanks for posting that.  Well, better late than never!  Been waiting for the TA2 Belle Isle race, tight and bumpy track with unforgiving concrete walls!  Parts everywhere after impact!  Oh and this happened because the track condition was slightly damp after a rain.  I feel bad for the Crew Chief and team, you literally have to broom the parts off the track!

News from Trans AM at Belle Isle - Matos, the current TA2 points leader and driver of the No. 88 3-Dimensional Services Chevrolet Camaro, began the race in second position but overtook polesitter Gar Robinson, in the No. 74 Palate of Milford/ 74 Ranch Resort Chevrolet Camaro, on the fourth lap of the race.  Matos would lead the field through three full-course yellows over the 38-lap race and was consistently able to pull away from second position.

I'm going to say this until I'm blue in the face!  The Trans AM series is the best in racing today.  Come on guys, (Australia & U.S.) mic the frickin track, add some more field cameras and hide the announcer's mic!  We come for the engine sound and cars, not some swinging nut sack!  Sometimes it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission.  More full races and track sound!  Pretty Please with a Big Block on Top!

2018 Historic Trans Am Race

The original race cars from the Trans Am series during the heyday from 1966 to 1972.  The complete roster of cars have been painstakingly restored to their original condition.  Then driven hard, the way they were meant to be!

2018 INDY 500 - Phenomenal!

Patrick’s 14-year run through the top levels of American motorsports will end Sunday with the 102nd Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.  It will be her 307th race – 116 in the Verizon IndyCar Series, 191 in NASCAR.  "Strap That On!"

BRASELTON, Ga. [March 31, 2018] – Rafa Matos captured his first career Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli victory today at Road Atlanta in the TA2 Muscle Car Challenge powered by AEM. Matos, making his seventh start in the No. 88 3-Dimensional Services Group Chevrolet Camaro, secured what had proven to be an allusive win through a second-to-last lap pass over Justin Haley during the 40-lap, 101.6-mile contest. Haley would finish second while Tony Buffomante captured third.

TA and TA3 Class - Road racing veteran Chris Dyson secured his first career Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli victory in the TA class today at Road Atlanta.  Dyson was joined in the celebrations by Randy Kinsland, who secured his second consecutive TA3 class Road Atlanta win following the conclusion of the multi-class competition. Note from the editor: (me)  The clip contains videos and pics (Chris Clark) from TheTransAmSeries at Road Atlanta, of track sight and sound. The New Continental GT3

Development of the new car has been led by the engineers of Bentley Motorsport’s in-house team based in Crewe, together with designers and technicians at Bentley’s motorsport technical partner, M-Sport.

The new Continental GT3 has been designed from the all-new Continental GT road car, utilizing it’s mostly aluminum structure as the foundation to deliver a race-ready weight of significantly less than 1300 kg and helping to deliver an ideal weight distribution for racing.

The engine is a new development of the renowned and race-proven 4.0-litre Bentley twin-turbo V8, with a totally redesigned dry sump system and all-new intake and exhaust systems.  Unrestricted power is in excess of 550 bhp.

The new Continental GT3 will make its race debut at the opening round of the 2018 Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup at Monza.  Updates from the development program of the new racer, and confirmation of the 2018 driver line-up, will be issued by Bentley Motorsport.  Bentley GT3 team is led by Bentley Director of Motorsport, Brian Gush supported by M-Sport’s Chief Engineer, Christian Loriaux.  (we were watching the Bentley Boys at the 2018 opener at Bathurst)

2018 - Crash ends race at 12hr Bathurst

Bryce Fullwood, Ash Walsh (#69 Audi) and John Martin (#19 Mercedes) were involved in a major accident that ended the Bathurst 12 Hour.  This entire race was fierce competition running at 200 kmh and you get hit standing still!  Hard to believe the drivers walked away!  Don't know why the track marshals didn't have a yellow flag waving, there was time.

2018 Rolex 24 At Daytona

This just got uploaded and a long 2 days waiting, we're back to racing in the northern hemisphere!  Time to roll out the best competition in racing and pay tribute to an old champion legend and a dear friend to many.

R.I.P. Dan, you were the man to chase.

All Ford entries who competed during the IMSA weekend bore a special decal for Ford racing legend Dan Gurney, who died Jan. 14, 2018.  The serial number on the winning Ford EcoBoost engine is 'GT40'.  “To get to drive a Ford GT is just a dream come true it's just awesome,” Briscoe said, driver for Chip Ganassi.

So let's go out to the track where we meet another component of Mazworx, the premier engine calibrator noted MoTeC tuner Shane Tecklenburg of Tuned By Shane T.  Also during this race we find out some sad news of machinist Miguel of Mazworx, that his father had just passed before this race, R.I.P. Miguel Aponet.  But I'll tell ya something, from the pic at the top and the thumbnail in the vid Mazworx was in deep stage and the competitor took his damn time, leaving team Mazworx's rev limiter popping in overtime were at launch she broke a crank trigger wheel just sending all that hp to hell!  Luckily the procrastinator blew the light!  Ah, thanks, father Aponet, or the boys would not have made it to the finals.
