Drift Mania

Enter The Drift

Japan was one of the earliest birthplaces of drifting.  It was most popular in the All Japan Touring Car Championship races. Motorcycling legend turned driver, Kunimitsu Takahashi, was the foremost creator of drifting techniques in the 1970s. Today with sponsors like NITRO TIRE at Angel's Stadium of Anaheim we have Auto Enthusiast Day, the eye candy and pure turbo heaven and legends of 'The Drift King'.  A high volume of JDM imports were brought to countries such as Australia, however it is not unusual to see Australian domestic vehicles such as the Holden Commodore or Ford Falcon.  Here in the states, we see Pontiac, Dodge and Ford utilized in drifting competitions.  So the competition is heavy from all serious manufacturers like Mercedes, BMW and Audi along with a cocky attitude when showing up at event's like in Long Beach, "Streets are closed pizza boy!"  The fans love it!
