New 3.5L V6 EcoBoost Daytona Prototype- Record Day!

Ford's New DP Prototype Monster
This is getting off to a great start of a new series in road racing, Prototype teams competing in the current American Le Mans Series categories and those who completed the 2013 Grand-Am Rolex Series Daytona Prototype championship have finally received the information they've been seeking. The New 2014 Tudor United SportsCar prototype regulations released.

A huge change coming this season with prototype regulations and hard on the wallet, some teams say it will take $500,000 for the conversion for the 2013 DP prototypes. Holy mother we have a new breed in the making and look who has shown up to put the pressure on? Yeap, Ford's new monster which just set a lap record out of the box. Breaking FIA world speed records that have stood since 1979!  Along with one of racing's hallowed marks, the Daytona International Speedway single lap closed course record is no easy task.  But Michael Shank Racing, the Roush Yates 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine, Continental Tire, Daytona International Speedway and many more helped Ford Racing etch October 9, 2013, in the record books.

Wow!  more HP more Speed for the DP's, I'll see you at one of these scheduled races next year.
